Coming soon on 29th November 2024 (Black Friday) is Lego’s latest Icons set – The Endurance. Modeled after Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ship, set number #10335 – The Endurance will cost £229.99 / $269.99 / €269.99 and feature 3,011 pieces. Also releasing is an exclusive gift with purchase.

The 3,011 piece kit builds a truly large set! It measures over 47 cm (18.5 in.) high, 80 cm (31.5 in.) long and 24 cm (9.5 in.) wide. This is over half as long as Lego’s iconic Titanic build.
I’m not surprised the build is large, as they’ve managed to stuff it full of details and play features.
“This premium replica model captures the majestic presence of the famous ship in all its glory, with 3 towering masts, 10 full sails, a flying red ensign flag and intricate rigging. The detailed multi-level deck, connected by stairs, has removable sections for access to port and starboard cabins and the ship’s steam engine. Whilst The Endurance doesn’t come with any Minifigures – shoppers who buy the set early will also receive the Shackleton’s Lifeboat gift with purchase. Lego seems to be continuing their trend of offering gifts with larger sets.

As you can see this gift set includes a Minifigure of Sir Shackleton and Frank Hurley. The set also features an array of accessories including a camera, stove, oars, sextant, and shovel (to name a few!).
This set is a gift with purchase so is available whilst stocks last from November 29th. Personally I think it’s a little disheartening to see the Shackleton Minifigure not included in The Endurance set. Whilst the set isn’t that expensive for 3,011 pieces the lack of any exclusive Minifigures could turn-off some fans.
Fans that might not be able to afford the set on release could see the gift’s sell out and be left with an Endurance set with no figures!

Despite the lack of Minifigures set #10335 – The Endurance, undoubtedly makes a great centrepiece to any Lego (or nautical) collection. I could easily see Lego Pirates fans buying this set to retrofit!
The Endurance is set to release on the 29th November 2024 for Lego’s Black-Friday. According to Lego there will also be other Black-Friday / Cyber Monday offers (29th Nov – 2nd Dec). Stay tuned to hear more!
