Lego Insiders weekend 2024 featuring double points and exclusive gifts!

,

Lego has announced Insiders weekend spanning Saturday 23rd November and Sunday 24th. Lego Insiders can expect to receive double Insider Points on ALL purchases and exclusive Gifts for crossing purchase thresholds.

Insiders Weekend Gift with Purchases

Alongside double points on all purchases, Lego is also offering multiple gifts depending on how much you spend.
As with previous GWPs these should be cumulative so if you spending over £220 / $250 / €250 you should receive all three!

40699 – Retro Record Player – Purchase threshold: £220 / $250 / €250

Lego’s biggest gift this weekend is 40699 – Retro Record Player. Coming in at 310 pieces, this is a really snazzy set, with some great display value. To me, the set has two standout features – The colourful printed tiles, and the sheer volume of trans-clear pieces!

The Retro Record Player has the highest purchase threshold of £220 / $250 / €250, however, I could see this becoming quite the collectible set when the deal is over.

40700 – Winter Holiday Train – Purchase threshold: £150 / $170 / €170

Lego’s next gift is a festive themed train. Set 40700 – Winter Holiday Train contains 294 pieces (only 16 pieces less than the record player!). I think this set would combine well with the Winter Village sets currently available, especially Santa’s Post Office and Santa’s Delivery Truck.

I find the £150 price tag a little awkward if you’re trying to collect Lego’s seasonal offering, however, there are several larger sets around the £150 mark. I’d highly recommend picking up Lego’s A-Frame Cabin (£159.99) before it retires this year.
(See my review of the A-Frame Cabin here)

5009114 – Holiday Crafting Set – Purchase threshold: £50 / $65 / €65

At the bottom end of Lego’s GWP offering is 5009114 – Holiday Crafting Set. This gift is decidedly kid-focused and contains family craft activities.
Included are: 4 crackers, 4 felt stickers (gingerbread man, snowman, reindeer and nutcracker), 4 greeting cards, envelopes and gift tags, 4 colouring sheets with Christmas-themed Minifigures, 2 Christmas-themed door hangers and 2 sheets of festive stickers.

The Holiday Crafting Set is undoubtedly stuffed full of fun, festive activities – However, I could see adult Lego collectors being disinterested, especially if they don’t have children.

Insiders Weekend Redeemable Rewards

alongside gifts, Lego is also introducing several new redeemable rewards. These rewards require Lego Insider’s points to acquire.

5009044 – Barracuda Seas – 2,400 Points

Lego has released a new ‘Yellow box’ redeemable gift – 5009044 Barracuda Seas. This gift contains 148 pieces. You will need 2,400 Insiders points to redeem this gift. As a side note, I’m glad to see Lego sticking with 2,400 points for this type of gift. This effectively mean’s the price of these gifts have stayed the same.

Other Rewards Available
  1. Insiders Sweepstakes to win 1,000,000 (Yes one million!) Lego Insiders Points
  2. Holiday Bauble GWP for 1,800 Insiders Points
  3. Sweepstakes to win the entire Rewards Centre
  4. Additional small rewards for 100 points

Additionally, alongside these new rewards, Lego has revamped how you redeem your Insiders Points.

When you go to checkout, Lego now has a section to the right showing your Insiders Points and a ‘Use now’ button.

Clicking the ‘Use now’ button takes gives you the option of how you want to use your points. Choosing ‘Pick a reward’ redirects you to the usual rewards page. However, choosing ‘Get a discount’ now show’s Lego’s new discount options. Personally I think this is a great improvement to Lego’s old discount system as the new one lets you dial-in exactly how many points you want to use!

Lego’s Insiders Weekend 2024 is running from Saturday 23rd November till Sunday 24th. Note that only Lego Insiders are eligible for the gifts and rewards above!
