LEGO’s inspiring new IDEAS set 21355 The Evolution of STEM

The LEGO Group’s latest IDEAS set is an inspiring homage to some of humanity’s greatest scientific minds!

Coming in at 879 pieces and 3 minifigures21355 The Evolution of STEM is available to pre-order now (shipping on 1st March 2025).

The set costs £69.99 / $79.99 / €79,99 and combines to build several scientific achievements such as an early car, computer, and NASA’s Voyager Probe.

One of the stand-out elements of The Evolution of STEM has to be the minifigures.

Included in the set are Isaac Newton, agricultural scientist George Washington, and Marie Curie. Each of these figures are scientific giants in their own right – Isaac Newton created a plethora of scientific laws and Marie Curie was the first ever woman to win a Nobel Prize!

The set is based on Knowledge is Power by fan designer danielbradleyy. The set was their entry into the Celebrate the wonder of STEM! challenge.

The set has grown since danielbradleyy’s original 528 piece submission into a 879 piece homage.

21355 The Evolution of STEM is a great set for anyone interested in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths and its great to see the LEGO Group championing a diverse group of scientific pioneers.

What do you think of LEGO’s latest IDEAS set? What topic would you like to see as an ‘evolution’ set? Personally I’d like an evolution of music.
