Luke Skywalker comes in the standard BrickHeadz sized box, including the model’s BrickHead number – 264 in this case. Both sides of the box proudly display the Star Wars logo, and the back has some nice features from the Star Wars movies.

Included in the box is one instruction booklet and two, unnumbered plastic bags. Also present is a 6 by 6 black plate which will come to make the model’s stand.

The front of the figure is where all the detail is. The designers help the set standout with a printed tile at the front and a printed slope piece bearing the Rebel’s insignia. Luke also partially hides his standard BrickHeadz printed eyes behind two trans-orange tiles. Overall this creates quite a nice visor effect.

Construction-wise the set isn’t anything to write home about. Once you’ve built a couple BrickHeadz you know the general style. Start with building the central body, then arms, legs, round out the head, and finish with attaching the model to the base. The colour variations help breakup the building process but overall there weren’t any unusual techniques or sections that stood out.

40795 Luke Skywalker utilises the standard BrickHeadz arms and Luke comes equipped with his blue lightsaber. Since Luke is in his Rebel pilot uniform the LEGO Group could easily have omitted the lightsaber so it’s a nice inclusion.
Although we have already seen a Luke Skywalker BrickHeadz with his lightsaber (41627 – Luke Skywalker & Yoda) so perhaps he should’ve come with a pilot themed accessory instead?

Overall 40795 Luke Skywalker (Rebel Pilot) is a nice addition to the BrickHeadz and Star Wars range. The orange and white colour scheme make the model instantly recognisable as a Star Wars Rebel pilot, however, only the blue lightsaber distinguishes it as Luke Skywalker.
The helmet manages to be fairly detailed for such a small form-factor and the printed eyes plus trans-orange tile make a nice visor combo!

It’s great that the LEGO Group is holding firm on their pricing of 9.99 and makes this set a great gift and useful for hitting promotional price thresholds.
