First ever LEGO Pokemon sets officially released

,

The LEGO x Pokemon collaboration is finally here! Fans have been asking for LEGO Pokemon sets for as long as I can remember, and as both brands have grown in popularity, the calls for official LEGO Pokemon sets have only grown bigger.

As Pokemon fans will know the 27th of February is Pokemon Day and 2026 also marks Pokemon’s 30th anniversary. The LEGO Group couldn’t have picked a better time to officially release three new Pokemon sets.

  • 72151 Eevee – £54.99 / $59.99 / €59,99
  • 72151 Pikachu and Poke Ball – £179.99 / $199.99 / €199,99
  • 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise – £579.99 / $649.99 / €649,99

All of these sets are likely to sell our extremely quickly and the pre-orders for 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise have already sold-out world-wide! All the above sets will ship from 27th of February 2026.

72151 Eevee – £54.99 / $59.99 / €59,99

First of three is 72151 Eevee. Coming in just shy of £55, for 587 pieces, somehow this is the cheapest set of the release. It’s not surprising that Eevee is one of the first Pokemon to be released as it’s a fan favourite.

Overall the set designers have done a great job at replicating Eevee and the build even incorporates moving elements. The head, ears, tail, and legs all move – which will make dynamic posing a treat!

72151 Pikachu and Poke Ball – £179.99 / $199.99 / €199,99

Next up is 72151 Pikachu and Poke Ball. Definitely no surprises here as no Pokemon launch would be complete without Pikachu. Again the set designers have done a great job and the electric mouse Pokemon is instantly recognisable.

The build comes in at 2050 pieces and stands an impressive 35cm (13.5 in.) tall.

The default pose is really dynamic with the Pikachu launching out of a basic Poke Ball. The blue/green lightning is a nice touch and adds some needed colour-contrast.

The set even comes with a choice of tail options with the flat tail denoting a male Pikachu and a bumpy ‘B’ tail denoting a female Pikachu.

72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise – £579.99 / $649.99 / €649,99

Last but certainly not least is the star of the show: 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. Coming in at a whopping £579.99 this set is for the serious collectors. Featuring all three fully evolved starter Pokemon and a diorama stand.

The build consists of 6,838 pieces, and stands over 50 cm (19.7 in.) tall when fully assembled.

Each Pokemon is placed in their own individual scene based off their Pokemon type (Grass / Fire / Water). Each of these scenes also connects together to create a LEGO monument to Pokemon.

Fan’s who are able to snag the set in time will also receive 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection as a gift with purchase. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the gift being heavily bought/sold on secondary markets (E.g. Bricklink).

Overall, some great sets are being released, although it is a little disheartening for the cheapest to be over £50. All the sets are clearly aimed at adults and all carry a 18+ age rating. Younger Pokemon fans will likely be disappointed that there aren’t any play-scale sets or any minifigures included.

Hopefully this is just the start to a long LEGO x Pokemon relationship and will include many more sets to come!

What do you think of the new official LEGO Pokemon sets? Are you going to pre-order any?
