Set to drop with the October 1st Lego Fortnite wave – Lego have officially announced set number 40728 – Brite Bomber. As this set is a gift with purchase Those looking to collect the 254th BrickHeadz will have to make a Fortnite themed purchase. Whether there is a price threshold to qualify is currently unknown!

According to Lego.com the GWP is worth £9.99 and comes with 151 pieces including a pickaxe accessory.
The brick-built sunglasses are a nice touch and help to make this set instantly recognisable alongside the skin’s trademark pink hair.
The set is clearly meant to be a small display piece and one of Lego’s promo images features the built set proudly displayed on a gamer’s desk.

There are currently only four Fortnite themed Lego sets all releasing October 1st. See our breakdown below:
Lego Fortnite – 77073 – Battle Bus – £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99
Shipping from October 1st, Lego’s rendition of the iconic Fortnite Battle Bus is a must have for any Fortnite fan.

Based on the popular video game this set lets gamers recreate the opening sequence of every Fortnite match! The set features Nine(!) colourful and distinct Minifigures based on in-game skins and each Minifigure comes equipped with a Fortnite themed accessory. The full roster includes: Battalion Brawler, Adventure Peely, Brite Bomber, Cuddle Team Leader, Cube Assassin, Trespasser Elite, Drift, Meowscles and Raven.
Coming in at £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 the set is on the pricey side for only 954 pieces – but that’s to be expected with a licensed theme.

Once built the set includes a removable roof for easy Minifigure access and playing opportunities. However for those more interested in digital play, the set also makes a great piece of Fortnite themed gaming décor!
Lego Fortnite – 77072 – Peely Bone – £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99
Also dropping on October 1st is a brick-built rendition of the popular Fortnite skin: Peely Bone. The skin first released on Fortnite’s Chapter 2: Season 1 and is a ‘Fortnitemares’ remake of the Peely skin. The set stands at an impressive 36cm (14 in.) tall and is made of 1,414 pieces.

Lego 77072 Peely Bone also features a nameplate and display stand making it a great display piece for a Fortnite enthusiast.
The set comes equipped with a Peely Pick Pickaxe, a paint launcher, and a Banana Bag Back Bling.
Personally I find Peely Bone a better priced set than the Battle Bus as it comes with 460 additional pieces. However, there are no Minifigures included in this set which could be a deal-breaker for some.
I think Lego might have missed a trick here as the Battle Bus includes a Peely Minifigure alongside eight others. Peely would have complemented this build nicely and I don’t think the Battle Bus loses too much value going from nine to eight Minifigures.

Lego Fortnite – 77071 – Supply Llama – £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99
For those looking for a cheaper Fortnite themed set – Lego set number 77071 – Supply Llama offers a good mid-priced option.

Standing over 24cm (9.5 in.) tall, Supply Llama comes packed with a swathe of accessories, resulting in a piece count of 691. Inside gamers can expect a Grappler, Slurp Juice, Rough Ruby, Back Pack, Good Luck Charm, Slap Juice and Dynamite!
The sheer total number of accessories makes this set a great addition to the Battle Bus and allows you to kit out the Minifigures even more. Whilst the selection is good, there are a few duplicate accessories when comparing to the Battle Bus (namely the Slurp Juice and Grappler). It would have been nice to see each set have unique accessories.

All the accessories store neatly in the Llama’s body using the flap at the top of the build. To release the goodies simply open the side flaps. (Although for a truly immersive experience you could always break the build apart!)
Lego Fortnite – 77070 – Durrr Burger – £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99
With Lego increasing in price each year, I’m happy to see that Lego has included a cheaper build.

Coming in at 193 pieces the Durrr Burger makes a great gift or reward especially for younger fans. The set has the lowest age rating (9+) of all the Fortnite themed sets.
Compared to the other sets, the Durrr Burger feels the least overtly Fortnite themed and is likely to appeal to a wider range of Lego fans. The silly burger would feel right at home in a Lego City themed build perhaps as a Burger chain mascot.
The set uses lots of clever building techniques to fit a lot of detail into a small form and piece count. I especially like the brick-build olive and the way the studs on the side give the burger meat more texture!

This set is a fun little addition to the Lego Fortnite theme and shouldn’t be overlooked.
For those hopefuls looking to pick up the new 40728 – Brite Bomber, you’ll unfortunately have to wait until October 1st.
However, with no price threshold officially announced (as of time writing) we’ll have to wait and see how easy it’ll be to receive this gift with purchase set.
However, I reckon that purchasing either the Battle Bus or Peely Bone should be enough to trigger the reward. Alternatively as the set is worth £9.99 (according to Lego.com) – Lego could set a price threshold of say £100, although this would require buying multiple Fortnite sets to qualify and could frustrate fans who are not looking to spend too much money.
