Lego Icons – Two new additions to the Botanical Collection
Two new winter themed Botanical Collection sets are now available.
The New Botanical sets are:
10340 Wreath – £89.99 / $99.99 / €99,99

Coming in at 1,194 pieces the Wreath makes a great wall or table centrepiece and is designed to be able to do both.
The set is fully customisable with a choice of red, blue and white berries, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and earthy pine cones.
10370 Poinsettia – £44.99 / $49.99 / €49,99

In addition to the Wreath, Lego is also releasing 10370 Poinsettia, another rather festive themed Botanical build. Smaller than the Wreath the Poinsettia has 608 pieces and a reduced but still hefty price tag of £44.99
Lego Ideas – 21352 Magic of Disney – £89.99 / $99.99 / €99,99
For those looking to celebrate some classic Disney stories (including the Lion king, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, Lilo & Stitch, and others) – The new Lego Ideas set is an homage to all things Disney!

Only true Disney fans will be able to name all the Disney film references contained in this creative and jam-packed, 1,103 pieced set. 21352 Magic of Disney is a must have for Disney fans and even includes the first ever Minifigure rendition of Belle!
Lego Minecraft – 21281 Baby Pig’s Birthday Celebration – £17.99 / $19.99 / €19,99
For Minecraft fans, Lego has you covered with a small and cute set depicting a mob’s birthday scene.

21281 Baby Pig’s Birthday Celebration is packed full of Brick-built Minecraft mobs including: A creeper, baby zombie, baby fox, baby llama, baby cat, and of course a baby pig. All the mob builds have moveable elements and the set is loaded with play features.
Personally I think this set is a steal coming in at only £17.99 (~£0.05 per piece) and its tempting to pick up multiples. (More party guests means more presents right?!).
Lego Sonic – 77000 Shadow the Hedgehog – £59.99 / $69.99 / €69,99
Taking a page out of Star Wars’ book with it’s buildable helmets – Lego is expanding its new Sonic The Hedgehog range by releasing a buildable Shadow head.

The set includes 720 pieces which seems a little low for a £59.99 price-tag. However, the pieces are put to great use, with loads of incredible building techniques coming together to make a recognisable bust of Shadow.
If this set does well, can we expect to see more Sonic heads? I’d love to see how the Lego designers tackle Dr. Eggman.
Lego Star Wars – Two new Sets for the Collection
Star Wars fans have a choice in October. Do they go BIG?
75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge – £429.99 / $499.99 / €499,99

For those able to shell out £429.99 Jabba’s Sail Barge is the latest addition to Lego’s Ultimate Collector Series. The build is comprised of a whopping 3,942 pieces and 11 Minifigures and includes a ‘Big-Fig’ version of Jabba.

40755 Imperial Dropship vs. Rebel Scout Speeder – £34.99 / $39.99 / €39,99
For those of us not looking to shell out £429.99 on Lego this October, we have another Star Wars option: 40755 Imperial Dropship vs. Rebel Scout Speeder.

At a more respectable price point of £34.99 set no. 40755 is Lego’s latest Star Wars battle pack. The set is likely to appeal to Prequels fans and those looking to army build as the set comes with 6 Minifigures (3 Rebels vs 3 Stormtroopers).
The set also features two buildable vehicles – The Imperial Dropship and the Rebel Scout Speeder. If that wasn’t enough already, to sweeten the deal, Lego is also including an exclusive 25th anniversary QT-KT Lego Droid figure (with a display stand).
Lego Super Mario – 71438 Super Mario World Mario & Yoshi – £114.99 / $129.99 / €129,99
Super Mario fans aren’t forgotten this October as Lego is releasing a brick-built statue of Mario and Yoshi.

Set no. 71438 – Super Mario World™: Mario & Yoshi comes in at 1,215 and creates a clever pixelized statue of famous characters Mario and Yoshi. The retro pixel art style translates very well and the set even includes moving parts (operated by turning the handle).
Lego Wednesday – Three unique new releases
The new Lego Wednesday sets are perfect for those who want to soak in October’s spooky atmosphere. Lego is releasing three quite different sets all centred around the character of Wednesday Addams.
76780 Wednesday Addams Figure – £44.99 / $49.99 / €49,99

Set no. 76780 Wednesday Addams Figure uses 702 pieces to create a brick-build figure of Wednesday standing outside the gates of Nevermore Academy.
The set includes a choice of two outfits for Wednesday, with the spare parts being stored in the bottom of the set

76781 Wednesday & Enid’s Dorm Room – £79.99 / $89.99 / €89,99

For Lego Mini-doll fans, Lego has also released a rendition of Wednesday and Enid’s iconic Dorm Room. The set includes four Mini-dolls with both Wednesday and Enid have school outfits and Rave’N Dance outfits.
Like the Wednesday Figure the spare parts / Dolls can be stored inside the set’s built-in storage.

40750 Wednesday & Enid BrickHeadz – £17.99 / $19.99 €19,99
Rounding off the Wednesday themed releases is a new BrickHeadz set no. 70750. This set will include BrickHeadz version of Enid (252) and Wednesday (253).

This set is a great option for those wishing to expand their BrickHeadz collection or for those looking spend less money.
Both the builds are instantly recognisable and overall the set sits comfortably at the lower end of Lego’s pricing system.
Lego Wicked – Celebrate the new film with four themed builds
75681 Glinda, Elphaba, Nessarose at Shiz University – £24.99 / $29.99 / €29,99

Opening up the new Wicked themed releases is set no. 75681 – Glinda, Elphaba & Nessarose at Shiz University. The set contains 304 pieces, including several larger pieces (E.g. the boat and it’s sails). Also included, are three Mini-dolls (Glinda, Elphaba & Nessarose of course)
Personally I find this set the lest interesting out of the four releases, however as the set holds a 7+ age rating, I’m definitely not the target demographic.
75682 Elphaba and Glinda Figures – £49.99 / $54.99 / €54,99
In a similar style to the Wednesday Addams figure, Lego is also releasing Elphaba and Glinda as large-scale, brick-built figures.

The set consists of 558 pieces (No Mini-dolls) and carries a slightly older 10+ age rating. This set is aiming to appeal to a slightly older Wicked demographic but I could see this being quite a niche purchase.
Still all the printed parts look great and the multiple brick-built accessories add a nice dynamic element to this display piece.
75683 Glinda and Elphaba’s Dormitory – £59.99/ $69.99 / €69,99
Following on from set 75681, Glinda and Elphaba have reached university in this rendition of their Dormitory. Again we’re seeing similarities to a Wednesday Addams set with the Dorm being split down the middle.

What makes this set standout however, is its ability to be folded-up and closed. This gives you two different ways of displaying the set, although, I feel that most people will simply choose one display option and leave it that way.
The set contains 740 pieces and includes 4 Mini-dolls.

75684 Welcome to Emerald City – £89.99 / $99.99 / €99,99
Welcome to Emerald City is the largest Wicked set releasing this October, coming in at 945 pieces, with a price-tag to show for it. The set does include a lot of larger bricks which help with the set’s size, however, collectors are still expected to pay over £0.09 per brick.

To sweeten the deal, set no. 75684 Welcome to Emerald City comes with 5 Mini-dolls – three of which are unique characters to this set (including Fiyero)

Lego Winter Village – One new set with a small companion build
In keeping with Lego’s now 16! year tradition – The new Winter Village set has been released (Santa’s Post Office). This Year Lego is also releasing a smaller companion build that fits perfectly with the larger build.
10339 Santa’s Post Office – £89.99 / $99.99 / €99,99

Set no. 10339 Santa’s Post Office is set to replace 2022’s Winter Village set (Holiday Main Street) and is releasing this October.
The set comes in at 1,440 pieces and hosts 5 festive Minifigures

40746 Santa’s Delivery Truck – £17.99 / $19.99 / €19,99
This quirky and small build combines nicely with this years big Winter Village set.

Coming in at 224 pieces set no. 40746 is a great small winter set. See our full post here.
