Lego Insiders: New Treasure Chest Reward Unveiled

Lego has unveiled a new reward available to Lego Insiders. Available to Insiders who have 2,400 points the new Treasure Chest set includes a working key and hidden compartment.

Available from November 1st the Treasure Chest is built from 154 pieces. Promo copies of the set have already been sent to some Lego influencers and news channels. I’ve collected some of the best pictures below to give you an idea of the size and quality of this build.

The build is approximately 8 cm long by 5 cm wide and 6 cm high. Once built the chest has quite a smooth and relatively basic exterior, however, the simple build hides a secret play-feature!

Using the technic provided, you can open a hidden compartment! The build comes with an array of gold coloured Lego to store in this section, however, you could easily swap these out for something else.

Despite the 10+ age recommendation, I could see this being a good set for younger fans (perhaps as a gift). The build seems relatively quick and simple although young fans might need help from an adult.

Putting this gift into the context of previous redeemable gifts might help you decide whether or not to get this set.

The points threshold is the same as the Grey Castle Set (2,400 points) which is also currently available as an Insider’s reward. The castle set has slightly less pieces (112) – however, it does come with some Microfigures.
If you can stretch to 2,700 points, you’re able to redeem the World of Wonders set. This is a great little set, coming in at 382 pieces, and makes Lego renditions of four iconic world wonders.

Will you be redeeming your points for the new Treasure Chest? Let us know in the comments below or on our Instagram page!
